Biography
F. Reed Brown was the original Hamlet in the U.S. premiere production of Heiner Muller's Hamletmachine with the Freiese Theatre of Munich. Brown has over 80 productions currently to his credit.
He has worked with a wide variety of theater companies including LaMama ETC, Manhattan Ensemble and the St. Louis Black Rep.Brown spent two summers with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and has worked with Vermont's Bread and Puppet Theatre. He holds a master of fine arts degree in directing from Illinois State University, and a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida. He studied for two years with Stella Adler at her conservatory in New York. He has taught theatre at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Johnson State College, Illinois College and Prison Performing Arts. He has spent much of his professional career on the road with his touring productions, which are available for booking.
